Claims for transport damage will be transferred to the new Kaukoputki on 15 May 2025

The free Kaukoputki online service will be renewed in May 2025. As a result of the renewal, making claims for transport damage will be transferred to Kaukoputki.

The new Kaukoputki, which will be released on 15 May, will serve everyday logistics and professionals working in different roles in our customer companies, such as dispatch, logistics decision-makers, sales, financial department and customer service, in even more versatile ways. In addition to the familiar functionalities, new features will be available, such as more visual shipment tracking, centralised user management, customer reports and claims for transport damage.

Making claims for transport damage in the new Kaukoputki is easy. The service guides you in filling in all the necessary information, which speeds up the processing of the claim. The company’s employee who handles the claim-related matters, such as the accounts payable system manager, can make the claim in the service using their own credentials. The credentials and rights to Kaukoputki are given to them by the customer company’s Kaukoputki main user.

When a claim is made in the new Kaukoputki, a damage number will be emailed to the person who made the claim. The use of the number in damage inquiries will make the response time faster. Later, the new Kaukoputki will include monitoring of the claim handling process, claim decisions and their reporting, as well as the possibility to communicate with our damage team.  Once completed, the new features will be automatically available to all users logged in to the service who have the right to manage claims.
